A13 (Bologna-Padova): Exit Rovigo Sud (Villamarzana) take SS434 heading to Verona for 21 Kms, at Badia Polesine take A31 (Valdastico), exit Dueville. Take then SS 47 Valsugana heading to Bassano/Trento until Cismon del Grappa (53Km)then take the long tunnel (heading to Feltre/Belluno) and after 6 km, at the junction, take the SS50 Passo Rolle road: you will reach San Martino di Castrozza after about 38 km.
Heading to South
Heading to Feltre, SS50, then follow the directions to Bassano del Grappa/Trento. At the end of the tunnel go straight on the SS47 heading to Bassano del Grappa/Vicenza. In Bassano del Grappa, follow the indications to Vicenza/Dueville to get the highway A31, take the Valdastico and drive to the highway barrier, then take SS434 Transpolesana heading to Rovigo, in Villamarzana (Rovigo sud) follow A13 heading to Bologna.
From East or West
A4 (Torino-Trieste) until Vicenza: after the Vicenza Est (for who is driving from West) or a little bit before (for who drives from East) take the A31 (Valdastico) exit Dueville. Follow SS 47 of the Valsugana heading to Bassano/Trento until Cismon del Grappa (53Km) then take the long tunnel (heading to Feltre/Belluno), and after 6 km, at the junction, take the SS50 Passo Rolle road: you will reach San Martino di Castrozza after about 38 km.
A22 Highway option
A22 (Modena-Verona-Brennero): exit Trento Sud, SS47 of the Valsugana (heading to Bassano/Padova) Cismon del Grappa and then take SS50bis (heading to Feltre/Belluno) and when in Fonzaso take SS50 heading to Primiero, San Martino e Passo Rolle.
To reach San Martino by car, we suggest you to avoid the highway Brennero A22: during summer and winter this motorway is very congested and sometimes tailbacks and the traffic jam slow down the road practicability. Driving from South, the route gets longer of more than 130 kilometers, while during the winter this itinerary (highway exit Ora) implies the crossing of two dolomitic passes, the San Lugano Pass and the Rolle Pass, where in case of heavy snowfalls the use of snow chains is obligatory. Our suggested itinerary permits to avoid also the inconvenient operation of snow chains assembly and dismantling.
We remind our guests that at the moment the service station of San Martino di Castrozza is under costruction. For this reason we suggest you to refuel at the service station of Primiero (15 kilometers far from San Martino) or Predazzo (about 30 kilometers far).
